Cross-Sport Multiple: Back Smith's Saddlers on Saturday

"Walsall flirted with the play-offs last season and remain a side with potential, as they showed in holding Bristol City to a draw and beating Preston 3-1 earlier in the campaign."

Andrew Hughes thinks Walsall will return from Nottingham with all three points this weekend and help to land another cross-sport multiple in the process.

Bet 1: Back Walsall to beat Notts County at 2.68/5

After keeping Notts County up in his first season at the club, Shaun Derry has been working wonders on the Trent in recent weeks. The Magpies are flying after five consecutive victories and are up to fourth in League One.

But that run will come to an end on Saturday against Walsall. Dean Smith's side have often lacked a striker to turn their possession into goals, but the return of Tom Bradshaw last weekend helped them to a hard-fought win over Chesterfield and they look a much more dangerous team with the former Shrewsbury striker on the pitch.

Walsall flirted with the play-offs last season and remain a side with potential, as they showed in holding Bristol City to a draw and beating Preston 3-1 earlier in the campaign. It's also worth noting that County's five recent wins all came against teams in the bottom half. Back the Saddlers to upset the odds in Nottingham.

Bet 2: Back Munster to beat Cardiff at 1.538/15

Cardiff should go into this game with some confidence after recording back to back victories over Grenoble and Rovigo in the European Challenge Cup, but I expect normal service to resume when they return to Pro12 action on Saturday.

The Blues have won just one of their six games so far, against Zebre in their opening match, and are being kept off the bottom of the table by the two Italian teams.

A 24-24 draw with Connacht in Round 5 offered some encouragement to Blues fans, but I can't see them having anything to celebrate this weekend. Munster have only lost one of their last seven in all competitions and haven't lost to Cardiff since 2009. Back the Irish side to record their fourth away win in succession.

Bet 3: Back Milos Raonic to beat Tomas Berdych at 1.834/5

Saturday's ATP Paris Masters semi-final between Tomas Berdych and Milos Raonic should be a gripping encounter between two of the world's top ten, but there is more at stake for one of them then just a place in the final.

Whilst Berdych's win over Kevin Anderson in the quarter-final earned him a spot at the ATP World Tour Finals, Raonic travelled to Paris knowing that he needed to win the tournament to qualify for London.

But the young Canadian seems to be thriving on the pressure, beating Roger Federer for the first time in his career in the quarter-finals and up against an opponent he has beaten twice in three meetings, he can reach the final.

Big Saturday Multiple: Back Orient to make most of home advantage

Bet 1: Derby County (HOME) @ 1.728/11

Bet 2: Leyton Orient (HOME) @ 21/1

Bet 3: AFC Wimbledon (HOME) @ 1.910/11

Jonno Turner scans the bottom three English divisions and comes up with a treble to kick start the weekend in style...

It's been a miserable start to the season for relegated Fulham, and they're off to Derby County today, looking for their first point since their drop from the Premier League.

Back to back 1-0 losses have followed up an opening day defeat to Ipswich Town, and that leaves the Craven Cottage side languishing second bottom in the second tier, and on the road to becoming the whipping boys of the division.

And their form on the road is particularly poor. Just one victory since Boxing Day away from West London - a run consisting 13 outings - indicates that Felix Magath's side might struggle in this clash, as they make their way north up the M1.

Hosts Derby line up for this encounter having stumbled themselves, though. A 1-0 home win over Rotherham United was just the ticket for the first game of the season - but the Rams followed up with a goalless stalemate against Sheffield Wednesday, and a loss at Charlton last week.

But Steve McLaren's side are at least strong at Pride Park - and four wins from their last five in front of a home crowd will give them much confidence today.

County sit 14th in the table heading into this clash, but a win could put them right back amongst the top six - and they will be desperate to make the most of this opportunity.

It's been six year's since these two sides have done battle, but Derby have historically fared well against their guests, with five unbeaten from their last half a dozen home ties.

Bet 1: Derby County (HOME) @ 1.728/11

To the capital now, as we drop a division, where Leyton Orient host Walsall at the Matchroom Stadium.

The O's went into this season with big expectations following an impressive campaign last year which saw them narrowly miss out on promotion after leading for much of the way - but their hopes were quickly dashed as they succumbed to an opening day loss against Chesterfield.

Since that outing, Russell Slade appears to have galvanised his troops somewhat, and they have won two and drawn one of their subsequent three outings, a run which suggests that they are on an upward curve.

This is their first home clash since that surprise defeat, and the hosts will be keen to right a wrong, and grab their third win from four outings on their own patch.

One thing's for sure - this is a side drenched in goals. Darius Henderson, Dave Mooney and Kevin Lisbie have all gotten off the mark already this season, and six notched in their last three outings indicates that there is certainly no shortage of final third quality in Orient's ranks.

Walsall head south having won just one of their four outings this campaign - a League Cup clash against fourth division Southend United - and that means that the visitors are still to get off the mark in the league.

A 2-1 home defeat to Yeovil Town won't have done much for confidence in the Saddlers camp though, and with just two draws previous to that outing, Dean Smith's side teeter on the edge of the drop zone.

It is now four clashes since the visitors grabbed a win on the road, or indeed kept a clean sheet away from the Bescot Stadium, and I reckon that they might feel the full force of a Leyton Orient side keen to put things right in front of their home crowd.

Bet 2: Leyton Orient (HOME) @ 21/1

And heading south west of London now, where an in-form AFC Wimbledon welcome relegation-zone Hartlepool United to the Cherry Red Records Stadium.

The home side go into this one in fifth place in the fourth tier, and unbeaten in the league after their opening trio of outings.

A pair of back to back 1-0 wins on the road will have morale high in the home camp, and they will be looking to maintain that momentum as they line up on home turf.

With a front pairing of Matt Tubbs and Ade Akinfenwa, the Dons certainly know where the net is, and that experience could play a big part as they face a 'Pool side which has shipped a whopping 11 goals in their opening six hours of football this season.

Colin Cooper's charges make the arduous trip to this game having lost two home outings on the trot, both by two goals, and unfortunately for the Monkey Hangers, their form away from Victoria Park isn't much better.

In fact, they've not won in nine on their travels - and they've not even scored in six of those.

You have to ask whether their gaffer will be given much more time to turn around this miserable run, and that pressure could be playing on the visitor's minds a little bit. I just can't look past Neal Ardley's Dons for the win here.

Big Saturday Multiple: MTK eyeing final Europa League place

Jonno Turner casts his eye over action across the continent as he bids to select three value picks to make up his Big Saturday Multiple - at odds of 7s...

We're off to Scandinavia for our first pick of this three team multiple - and Landskrona host IK Brage at the Landskrona IP, looking to extend some impressive home form.

The home side line up for this clash sitting ninth in the Superettan,  but their recent results on their own patch somewhat belie that position - and they have lost just one of their last seven outings in front of their own fans.

Jorgen Pettersson's side have managed three clean sheets from five at home, and will be keen to maintain that strong defensive record as they face second bottom Brage.

The visitors go into this clash in miserable form, and have lost six of their last seven encounters home and away.

Conny Karlsson's charges are already a little but cut adrift from the rest of the division - and just five points from their opening five games this campaign suggests that the Borlange side could be in for a long, hard season.

They will be desperate to avoid recording a fourth consecutive defeat away from the Domnarvsvallen, but I reckon their hosts' momentum will be too much for them to handle.

Bet 1: Landskrona @ 1.75

Switching our attentions to Hungary now, and MTK Budapest welcome Debrecen to the Stadion Hidegkuti Nandor.

The hosts are in mixed form of late, and just two wins from their last eight sees them priced slightly bigger than usual here.

But their results on their own patch have been consistently impressive, and five wins from their last half a dozen in front of their own fans stands them in good stead this afternoon.

Four clean sheets from five at home indicates that Jozsef Garami's newly promoted side are adjusting well to life in the top tier, and they currently sit fifth in the table - just three points off third place, which would qualify them for European competition.

That makes this final home clash even more important for the Blue and Whites, and they'll be looking to burst out of the traps in this game.

Visitors Debrecen travel to Budapest sitting just one place behind their hosts, but suffering from inconsistency on the road, as is underlined by two wins from eight.

Elemer Kondas' won the title last year, but have struggled to repeat that success this year, and have missed out on the Europa League places this time around - which suggests that they may not have the motivation to match their hosts.

Bet 2: MTK Budapest @ 2.1

To the Swedish top tier now, and the Allsvenskan - as in-form Mjallby line up against bottom side Halmstads at the Strandvallen.

Anders Torstensson's side go into this clash sitting fifth in the table, and will be desperate to secure another three points in order to heap further pressure on the top four.

And four unbeaten on their own patch, consisting of three wins and a draw, will give the Hallevik side much confidence ahead of this encounter.

They have notched a whopping 10 goals in their last three games in front of their own fans, and that suggests that much of their their threat lies in the final third - particularly the likes of key attacking figures Kristian Haynes and Markus Ekenberg.

Visitors Halmstads travel to Blekinge County having won just one of their last 10 games, and that leaves them propping up the rest of the division - having accumulated eight points in that time.

Boss Jens Gustafsson will be feeling the pressure of life in the top tier following their promotion from the Superettan last campaign - and six without a win away from home suggests that HBK might struggle in this one.

Two 1-0 defeats on the bounce will have knocked confidence in the away dressing room, and a trip to free-scoring Mjallby would not be the choice of the visitors at the moment.

Bet 3: Mjallby @ 1.9

Big Saturday Multiple: Brentford eyeing automatic promotion

Jonno Turner picks three domestic selections to kick start the weekend in style, with sides battling it out for points at both ends of the table...

We're off to London for our first pick of this three team multiple - and a hugely important game at Griffin Park, as Brentford host Portsmouth.

Uwe Rosler's side currently sit third in the League One table, just two points behind second placed Bournemouth - but the Bees have a game in hand on their south coast rivals, and will be desperate to make the most of home advantage here.

The hosts have lost just one game since August 2012 on their own patch - an impressive run which consists a whopping 24 outings.

And four wins on the bounce in front of their own fans will have the West Londoners high in confidence ahead of this clash, as they look to maintain momentum ahead of a potential play-off campaign.

Four clean sheets from six at Griffin Park shows just how dominant Rosler's side have been of late, and I think that their guests will struggle to breach that backline.

Portsmouth travel to London occupying 22nd place in the table, and are two points inside the relegation zone with just three left the play.

The Fratton Park side have experienced a disastrous season on and off the pitch, and the writing seems to be on the wall for Guy Whittingham's charges, who have played more games than their rivals down the bottom.

Pompey have certainly shored up of late - but too often they have lacked the cutting edge to get maximum points on the board, as two wins from half a dozen games shows.

And just one win in 16 on the road since October points to a home win in this clash.

Bet 1: Brentford (HOME) @ 1.574/7

A relegation six pointer at the bottom of the Championship now, as Wolves welcome Huddersfield Town to Molineux.

Wanderers go into this one sitting 20th in the table - just two places outside of the drop zone - and they will know that this game is a must win if they are to move away from danger.

Two straight wins in front of their own fans will give the home side a boost ahead of this clash, and that makes three unbeaten on their own patch.

Dean Saunders' side will be keen to get a further three points on the board following a loss at Bolton Wanderers last week - especially as a defeat to Huddersfield would see their opponents leapfrog them.

The Terriers occupy 21st place in the division, one behind their hosts, and are just one point ahead of Blackburn - who sit in the final drop zone place, but have played a game less.

That makes every remaining opportunity to secure points massive for Mark Robins' side, and he will be desperate for them to avoid defeat here.

But the West Yorkshire side are inconsistent on the road, and have won just two of their last 12 away from thr Galpharm Stadium, which suggests that they could struggle here.

Bet 2: Wolverhampton Wanderers (HOME) @ 2.05n/a

Focusing on action in South Yorkshire now, and Rotherham United line up against Fleetwood Town, desperate to cement their place in the top six.

The Millers have been inconsistent this campaign, and that has probably been key as to why they don't sit higher up the table - but their form at the New York Stadium of late has been impressive, and they will be hoping that they can maintain that against the Cod Army.

Just one loss from half a dozen in front of their own fans, along with four wins and a draw, will be the type of run which Steve Evans wants to see from his side, and a 4-1 thrashing of fellow play-off hopefuls Exeter on Tuesday will give the home side a big boost.

Fleetwood travel to this game all but out of the promotion picture, sitting in 10th place in the table - and boss Gary Alexander will know that it will take a miracle for the Highbury Stadium side to get anything from this season now.

A 3-0 thrashing from Rochdale suggests that the seaside club have practically given up themselves, and anything other than a win at the New York Stadium will see their season come to an end.

But just one win in six suggests that an away win is an unlikely outcome, and the visitors have not kept a clean sheet on their travels since early March, which shows just how leaky they have been of late.

Bet 3: Rotherham United(HOME) @ 1.834/5

The Big Wednesday Multiple: Barcelona to kick off a 7/1 shot

"Back Barcelona @ 1.36 (4/11);

Back Brentford @ 2.05 (21/20);

Back Over 2.5 Goals in Partick v Morton @ 1.72 (8/11);

Back Under 2.5 Goals in Real Garcilaso v Cerro Porteno @ 1.66 (4/6);

The Multiple pays approximately 8.05 (7/1)"

It's that time of the week where Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections:

Bet 1: Barcelona (HOME) @ 1.36 (4/11) - Sky Sports Two at 19:45

Barcelona will likely be without Lionel Messi, at least from the start, for their Champions League quarter-final second leg against PSG but I'm more than confident that they will get the win and progress to the last four.

The match in Paris finished 2-2 last week but the 2011 winners dominated large portions of that game and it took a late goal to deny them victory. Lionel Messi went off injured at half time and while he has trained with the squad, it is highly likely that he will be on the bench at best for Barca.

In any event, Cesc Fabregas played the false nine role against Mallorca on Saturday and he scored three and set another up. With the likes of David Villa and Andres Iniesta in the team, Barcelona have more than enough firepower to continue their incredible home record in the Champions League.

PSG have done well to reach the last eight given that it's their first appearance in Europe's elite club competition since 2004. They have of course spent plenty of money, but then so did Manchester City and they have gone out in the group phase for two years straight.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the key man and while he will want to shoot down his former side, I just don't think the midfield will be able to cope with that of their opponents, especially as Blaise Matuidi is suspended.

Bet 2: Brentford (AWAY) @ 2.05 (21/20)

Our away win comes from slightly less glamorous surroundings as promotion chasing Brentford travel to Crewe, knowing that three points will take them into third place and within striking distance of the top two.

The Bees have been buzzing this season under the stewardship of Uwe Rosler. The German has got a fantastic chance of leading them into the Championship as if they win their games in hand, they will be in second position, just a single point off Doncaster who are top.

They need to put a couple of poor results behind them though - a loss at MK Dons and then a draw at Coventry. They have been much stronger at home and their recent away stats haven't been that great, however I think that now we're at the business end of the campaign, their class and will to win will shine through.

A further reason why I think that they will take all three points tonight is that Crewe lifted the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley on Sunday and it will be hard for the players to get up for this clash, especially as they have little to play for in the league.

Steve Davis' men have been in decent form lately but I have my suspicions that the players were putting in that extra bit of effort to try and make the Wembley starting XI and now that it's over, they could go into 'holiday mode' something that Swansea have done since lifting the Capital One Cup.

Bet 3: Partick v Morton (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.72 (8/11)

Our search for goals lands us in Scotland as Partick Thistle host Greenock Morton in a mouth-watering top of the table clash in the First Division.

Partick are top and they will want to stay there as only one team get promoted to the Premier Division. They have a two point cushion over tonight's opponents in second, and they have a game in hand.

Alan Archibald has had a fantastic run since being appointed manager in January and he is yet to lose a game in the league - winning eight and drawing two.

As far as the goals go, Thistle's fixtures have been averaging 3.07 per 90 minutes, with 19 of their 30 going over 2.5, including 12 of their 15 at Firhill Stadium.

Greenock really need to win this evening as even if they draw, it's unlikely that Partick will drop enough points in their remaining five matches to surrender first place and promotion to the top flight.

While Alan Moore's side have lost two of their last three on the road, those are their only away defeats this season, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that they can pull it off.

One thing they have in their favour is their firepower away from Cappielow Park. The Ton haven't failed to score yet this term and they have netted 13 in their last five, including four at both Airdrie and Dunfermline.

Bet 4: Real Garcilaso v Cerro Porteno (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.66 (4/6) - Betfair Live Video at 23:45

We finish with a late kick-off in Peru as Real Garcilaso host Cerro Porteno in a Copa Libertadores Group Six clash.

Real Garcilaso could really do with a win tonight as it would move them into second place, three points ahead of Deportes Tolima with just one game remaining. As that game would be away at Santa Fe, anything other than victory would leave them with a bit of a mountain to climb as you would have to assume that Tolima would beat Cerro Porteno in their final fixture.

Freddy García's should win, they are red-hot favourites to do so, but I can't see them scoring too many goals. They have netted just three times from four games in this competition this season, with two of those coming away from home. They won the reverse fixture 1-0, but it took an 88th minute winner to do so.

Cerro Porteno are the group's whipping boys as they have lost all four matches thus far. In fairness to them though, they haven't been getting thrashed and all of the defeats were by a single goal margin.

The Paraguayan outfit have been regulars in the Libertadores over the past few years and it's interesting to note that since 2010, eight of their 12 matches away from Estadio General Pablo Rojas have gone under 2.5 goals.

Recommended Multiple
Back Barcelona @ 1.36 (4/11); Back Brentford @ 2.05 (21/20); Back Over 2.5 Goals in Partick v Morton @ 1.72 (8/11); Back Under 2.5 Goals in Real Garcilaso v Cerro Porteno @ 1.66 (4/6); The Multiple pays approximately 8.05 (7/1)

Cross-Sport Multiple: Villa have momentum to stop Reds

"Both teams are creating and leaking plenty of goals, so this could be a high-scoring game, but Villa have the momentum and can earn a useful point."

Andrew Hughes thinks Aston Villa can earn a draw against Liverpool and help land a Sunday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Aston Villa to draw with Liverpool at 3.814/5

Liverpool can't afford too many more slip-ups if they want to secure European football next season. They haven't been great away from home this season, but all their wins have come against teams currently in the bottom half of the table, and on paper, they have too much ability for a Villa side still mired in a relegation battle.

But after a torrid start to 2013, Villa have begun to show some fight with crucial victories over Reading and QPR. They also have a good record against Liverpool, having won three of their last seven encounters, including a 3-1 victory at Anfield earlier this season. Both teams are creating and leaking plenty of goals, so this could be a high-scoring game, but Villa have the momentum and can earn a useful point.

Bet 2: London Irish to beat Sale Sharks at 1.282/7

After their disastrous start to the season, Sale have been in better form in 2013, winning three of their last five. The points deduction suffered by London Welsh has helped the Sharks' cause and they are five points clear of the bottom spot in the Aviva Premiership. They will be hoping to extend their run against the team immediately above them, against whom they recorded their first victory of the campaign, 21-9, back in November

But the Sharks haven't been that impressive away from home this season, their only win being a narrow 26-25 success against London Welsh. And they are up against a side in equally good form on Sunday. London Irish have won four of their last six and  haven't lost at home this year. More significantly, the Sharks haven't beaten the Exiles at the Madjeski since 2006. Back London Irish to take the points.

Bet 3: Back Andy Murray to beat David Ferrer at 1.330/100

Sunday's final of the Sony Open is between the third and fifth-ranked players in the world, and a win for Andy Murray would move him up to second, ahead of Roger Federer. But if he is to win the tournament for the second time, he will need to improve on his showing against Richard Gasquet in the semi-final, where he dropped the first set thanks to a string of unforced errors.

On the plus side, his record against his final opponent, David Ferrer is good. Ferrer, who also had to come from a set down in his semi-final, against Novak Djokovic's conqueror, Tommy Haas, has won five of his eleven matches against Murray, but four of those wins have come on clay. On hard courts, Murray has a commanding 5-1 lead against the man who is six years his senior.

Ferrer won't make it easy for the Scotsman and the final is likely to go to three sets, but Murray has won eight of the eleven Masters finals he has contested, and he is a solid bet to pick up another big prize on Sunday.

Cross-Sport Multiple: Saints to steal a point

"With both teams anxious not to lose to a relegation rival, a draw is the likeliest outcome here."

Andrew Hughes thinks Southampton can hold Norwich to a draw and help land a Saturday cross-sport multiple in the process.

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Back Norwich to draw with Southampton at 3.259/4

Five points separate these teams in the Premier League table, and neither are safe from relegation. Norwich have games against three of the bottom four to come, so have plenty of opportunities, but Southampton are in a precarious position. Defeat to QPR last time was a setback, and with their next two fixtures against Chelsea and Liverpool, they could easily slip into the bottom three by Easter.

On the plus side, their recent away form isn't too bad, including a victory at Aston Villa, a draw at Chelsea and a creditable 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford. They've also drawn four of their last seven games away from St Mary's.

Norwich's home record is pretty good too, with their only defeats in the Premier League coming against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, although they have drawn three of the last four at home. With both teams anxious not to lose to a relegation rival, a draw is the likeliest outcome here.

Bet 2: Back Wales to beat Scotland at 1.444/9

Scotland have surprised a few people in this year's Six Nations campaign. They outplayed traditional wooden spoon rivals Italy at Murrayfield in their second game, then came up with a titanic defensive performance to deny Ireland last time.

But they won't be making it three out of three on Saturday. The Welsh got off to a slow start in their opener against the Irish, but they fought back well in the second half, then carried that determination over to their next fixtures, in Paris and Rome. Their victories over France and Italy were not pretty, but they have restored confidence, and have even given Wales an outside chance of retaining their title.

Scotland will defend as though their lives depended on it, but Wales have enough creativity to find a way through, and their back row can cause havoc amongst a Scottish side that has sometimes looked disorganised at the breakdown.

Bet 3: Back Rigadin De Beauchene in the Sandown 2:40 at 3.02/1

This three mile handicap chase is a modest affair and offers a good opportunity for Rigadin De Beauchene to pick up his second race of 2013.

Venetia Williams' eight-year-old has improved significantly in his second season over fences, winning a Grade Three at Warwick in January, and finishing second in the Grand National Trial at Haydock last month. He obviously stays further than this three miles, but the soft going will be in his favour.

On paper, his main rival appears to be the Paul Nicholls entry There's No Panic, but he hasn't been that impressive this season and may be better going left-handed. Soll is dropping back in class and could be a threat, but he had a hard race in the Welsh National and was beaten a long way. Back Rigadin De Beauchene to prevail.

Total Odds for this multiple: 14.04n/a Remember, multiple prices are based on our Fixed Odds product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.

The Big Wednesday Multiple: British teams in an 8/1 shot

"Back Juventus @ 1.4 (2/5);

Back St Mirren @ 2.2 (6/5);

Back Over 2.5 Goals in Bristol Rovers v Exeter @ 1.85 (17/20);

Back Under 2.5 Goals in Notts County v Leyton Orient @ 1.65 (13/20);

The Multiple pays approximately 9.2 (8/1)"

It's Wednesday, so that means it's that time of the week where Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections:

Bet 1: Juventus (HOME) @ 1.4 (2/5) - Live on Sky Sports Two at 19:45

We start in Turin as Juventus should record a relatively straightforward win over Celtic.

The Old Lady won 3-0 at Celtic Park and while the scoreline probably flattered them, their extra class and streetwise players proved the difference. Obviously they don't need to win tonight to progress, but it's almost unfathomable that they'll fail to do so given their continued strong form in front of their own fans.

Antonio Conte will also want to take some momentum through to their Serie A clash with Catania at the weekend as they are only six points clear of Napoli in the league, so any slip up could prove costly.

Celtic have exceeded expectations in this competition this year, with the undoubted highlight being the victory over Barcelona in Glasgow. Neil Lennon's side have performed with real credit but this will be more of a respectability mission.

Their odds are short at 1.4 (2/5) but that still looks like value to me and it should give us a comfortable home victory.

Bet 2: St Mirren (AWAY) @ 2.2 (6/5)

Our away leg comes from Scotland as St Mirren travel to rock bottom Dundee in the Clydesdale Bank Premier Division. The Saints aren't doing much better themselves but they've already won at this ground this season and their odds are just too big to refuse.

Dundee have found it tough going back in the top flight and John Brown's men have only managed to amass 15 points from a possible 84. They haven't won a league game since November - a run of 14 matches - and their draw last time out was their first point since January.

Their stats don't read much better at Dens Park as of the 13 fixtures they've played there this term, nine have ended in defeat, including a 2-0 loss against tonight's opponents back in August.

St Mirren may well be second from bottom but they are 17 points clear of Dundee and only seven points adrift of the top half with a game in hand. Victory this evening would see them move up to 10th and still give them an outside shot of qualifying for the Championship Round.

Danny Lennon's team put successive defeats behind them by beating Hearts 2-0 in their last league outing and while they may have won just twice away from Paisley this season, they have an excellent shot of gaining a third in this one.

Bet 3: Bristol Rovers v Exeter (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.85 (17/20)

Our hunt for goals takes us to England's League Two as Bristol Rovers take on the in-form Exeter City.

Rovers are 15th in the table but they're still not quite safe from relegation as they only have a six point cushion over Plymouth and Wimbledon. Conceding too many goals has been their main problem as with 56 in the against column, only two teams have a worse defensive record.

John Ward's side did manage to keep a clean sheet last time out at home to Burton, but even then they scored three goals themselves so the game went over the required 2.5 goals. In fact, nine of their last dozen at the Memorial Stadium have had three or more, and their matches this year are averaging 2.89 goals each time.

Exeter were relegated from League One but they're making a decent push to go straight back up. Paul Tisdale has his team in the final play-off place, seven points clear of Southend in eighth, while only three points adrift of Cheltenham in third, with two games in hand.

The Grecians have won four of their last five, scoring 12 goals in the process, while five of their last eight on the road have gone over 2.5. This season's average is similar to their opponents, currently standing at 2.83, so the statistics would point to plenty of goals going in tonight.

Bet 4: Notts County v Leyton Orient (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.65 (13/20)

We finish in England's League One as Notts County and Leyton Orient do battle in what I hope will be somewhat of a dour encounter.

County are in 10th place but if they win their game in hand tonight then they will move to within five points of Tranmere in sixth and keep their slim promotion hopes alive. Winning has been a bit of an issue for them though this term as while they've only lost nine, they've drawn a few too many matches.

As far as the goals go, their matches are averaging 2.49 per 90 minutes, with 20 of their 35 going under 2.5, and four of their last five at Meadow Lane suffering the same fate.

Leyton Orient are only two points behind their opponents but even a victory tonight would probably still leave them a bit too far back to make the play-offs. Russell Slade's men broke a four match winless streak last time out by despatching Bournemouth 3-1, but four goals in one game is a rarity with The O's as their matches are only averaging 2.29 goals each time, with 21 of their 35 having two or less.

The Big Wednesday Multiple: Goals in El Clasico

"Back Everton @ 1.5 (1/2);

Back Tottenham @ 1.75 (3/4);

Back Over 2.5 Goals in Real Madrid v Barcelona @ 1.4 (2/5);

Back Under 2.5 Goals in Fulham v West Ham @ 1.95 (19/20);

The Multiple pays approximately 7.17 (6/1)"

It's that time of the week for the big Wednesday multiple as Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections:

Bet 1: Everton (HOME) @ 1.5 (1/2)

Everton take on West Brom in the Premier League tonight and I'm backing them to give us our home victory of the week.

The Toffees are undefeated in five matches in all competitions and they've only lost one of their last 13. They seem to have got out of their habit of drawing games that they should have won as they've recorded half a dozen victories in their last 10 outings.

At Goodison Park, Everton haven't managed to win either of their last two, but they played very well against Chelsea and before that they beat both Wigan and Spurs.

West Brom have started to slide down the table after their bright start and having picked up just a single point from a possible 12, they find themselves in ninth place.

The Baggies have recently lost to Manchester United, Fulham and Reading and they had to come from two down to draw with Aston Villa last time out.

Away from The Hawthorns, Steve Clarke's men have lost four of their last five, with the sole victory coming at rock bottom, QPR. They have  been shipping far too many goals - 21 in 11 away matches this season - and they are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Bet 2: Tottenham (AWAY) @ 1.75 (3/4)

Tottenham and Norwich were both dumped out of the cup by lower league opposition at the weekend but The Canaries defeat was by far the worse result out of the two and coupled with their poor league form, I think Spurs are a good bet to get back on track here.

Norwich are in a right slump at the moment; knocked out of the FA Cup as mentioned above and just one point from a possible 18 in the league. Chris Hughton had appeared to turn things around as they went on a 10 match unbeaten run, but since that ended, they've been pretty poor and got progressively worse.

Last time out in the league they put in a pitiful display at Anfield, losing 5-0 in a scoreline that probably flattered them. Their home form has dipped as well, and although losing to Chelsea and Manchester City isn't too bad, they were held by Newcastle and couldn't even muster a goal against a team that have conceded 42 times this term.

Spurs have started to catch Chelsea in third after going seven matches undefeated in the league. That record was in danger last weekend but a late Clint Dempsey equaliser earned them a point.

Away from White Hart Lane, AVB's side have won three, drawn one and lost one since the 5-2 loss at the Emirates. The sole defeat could quite easily have been a win as well as they led 1-0 at Goodison Park before conceding two goals in injury time.

New signing Lewis Holtby is available for selection and him, Gareth Bale and the in-form, Aaron Lennon, could prove quite the creative force.

Bet 3: Real Madrid v Barcelona (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.4 (2/5) - Sky Sports Three at 20:00

El Clasico usually means goals and I'm counting on Real Madrid and Barcelona to give us three or more in their Copa del Rey match this evening.

This is the first leg of their semi-final tie and although two legged cup ties can often be tight early on, the amount of firepower on show negates that in this instance. The two principal players - Ronaldo and Messi - come into this match on the back of hat tricks (four goals in the Argentine's case) and it's set to be another mouth-watering clash.

The last nine matches between these pair have all gone over 2.5 goals, with six going over 3.5 and two going over 4.5. There hasn't been a clean sheet since their Champions League meeting in April 2011 and both sides are better offensively than they are defensively.

Given the league positions of the two, I'd say that this tie was slightly more important to Real that Barcelona, so with the daunting trip to the Nou Camp to come, I'd imagine Jose Mourinho will get his team on the front foot from the off to try and build some kind of lead.

This game just screams goals to me and despite overs being fairly short, it's still decent value and worth including in a multiple.

Bet 4: Fulham v West Ham (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.95 (19/20)

We conclude back in the Premier League as Fulham take on West Ham in what I expect to be a low scoring London derby.

Fulham are having a poor campaign after a bright start and they've now won just two of their last 15 in the league. This has seen them drop to 14th place, only five points above the dreaded relegation zone. Their usual strong home form has deserted them lately; six points from a possible 21, and they have only scored more than once in one of their last half dozen at the Cottage.

West Ham are beginning to slide down the table as well and after recording just the single Premier League victory in eight, they have dropped to 12th place. Scoring goals has been a problem away from  Upton Park as before the one they managed at the Emirates last time out, they had fired blanks at Manchester United, WBA, Reading and Sunderland.

This is an important match for both clubs, neither of whom can afford to lose. I expect it to be quite a tight affair and under 2.5 seems overpriced at 1.95 (19/20).

The Big Saturday Multiple: Coventry to keep the run going

Bet 1: Coventry City @ 2.37n/a

Bet 2: Bradford City @ 2.26/5

Bet 3: Gillingham @ 1.664/6

Two sleeping giants in form are included in Jonno Turner's Big Saturday Multiple. Our man rounds things off with a bet on Gillingham...

We're off to the Midlands for our first pick of this three team multiple - and the Ricoh Arena, as in-form Coventry City play host to Notts County.

Home boss Mark Robins has really hit the ground running since being installed at the helm of the Sky Blues, and will be desperate for his side to extend their recent unbeaten run and make it six without a loss.

Some impressive wins, coupled with hard-fought draws on their travels, is exactly the kind of form that the home side will need to maintain if they are to make their mark on the top end of this division - and the fruits of Robins' labour are already beginning to show, as his side have pulled clear of the relegation zone to which they appeared chained just a few weeks ago.

Another three points in this clash could lift City right up towards mid table - but decent results against the likes of MK Dons and Bournemouth at the Ricoh in recent weeks shows that the hosts are more than capable of going toe to toe with the quality sides in this competition.

Notts County are a side who experienced a similar improvement in results last campaign following the appointment of Keith Curle as boss at Meadow Lane - but that honeymoon is over, and results have been far from satisfactory of late.

A decent start to the campaign saw the Magpies cement their place at the right end of the table, but three losses from their last four has seen the Nottingham side slip down to fifth in the table - and another defeat here could see them fall out of the play-off reckoning.

Just one win from their last four on the road suggests that the visitors may struggle to secure three points in the Midlands, and I'm backing the home win at what I believe are cracking odds on a Coventry side full of momentum.

There have been two or more goals in six of the last eight games featuring these two sides - so I'm also chucking a few quid at the 'Over 2.5 goals' market, which is priced at 2.04 at the time of writing.

Bet 1: Coventry City @ 2.37n/a

Dropping down a level now, to League Two, and Bradford City, another 'sleeping giant' who have hit form of late, welcome Cheltenham Town to Valley Parade.

The Bantams have endured a torrid time in recent years, and their fall from grace from Premiership new boys to fourth tier strugglers has been alarming.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel - boss Phil Parkinson has re-energised this West Yorkshire club, and they are currently on an impressive run of just one loss in ten outings on their own patch.

That form has led the hosts to eighth in the table, and another three points in front of the Bantams faithful here could put them right into the mix with around a third of the campaign gone.

Cheltenham are on a decent trot of their own though - and this one will not be an easy game for the home side.

Manager Mark Yates will be delighted with the early season form of his side, and they go into this one sitting pretty in third place in the division.

But just one win from their last three going into this game suggest that the momentum shown by the Robins may be wearing off somewhat, and the visiting boss will be desperate for his side to regain some confidence in West Yorkshire.

More worryingly, seven goals shipped in their last three points to defensive issues - and although the visitors did beat AFC Wimbledon last time out, they made hard work of it, and nearly let the strugglers back into the game at the death.

This will be a tough game for both sides, but I fancy Bradford's home advantage to pay dividends here.

Bet 2: Bradford City @ 2.26/5

Staying in the bottom tier for our final pick of this multiple, and league leaders Gillingham are aiming to make it seven wins from nine as they host Burton Albion at Priestfield.

Three wins from their last four in front of their own fans has seen the Gills cement their position at the summit of the division - but it is not just their ability to grind out results which is turning heads, it's also the manner in which they are doing so.

Three clean sheets from four at home shows that the hosts have the defensive quality to fend off the majority of sides at this level, and I don't think that Burton will give them much to worry about this weekend.

And the Kent side will be full of vigour and confidence following a 4-0 thrashing of Aldershot last weekend which saw them pull three points clear of nearest rivals Port Vale in the early stages of what promises to be an exciting title race.

Visitors Burton are currently sitting in fifth place in the table - and will be happy with that, but they have endured a nightmare few weeks of late, and just one win from half a dozen games going into this tie is not the best preparation for travelling to the league leaders.

Boss Gary Rowett will be keen to arrest that slump, but salvation is unlikely to come this weekend as the Gills look to put even more space between themselves and their promotion rivals.

Just one win from four away from the Pirelli Stadium suggests that the visitors may struggle in this one, and with numerous sides breathing down their necks, the Brewers could slip out of the play-off positions if they fail to secure any points in this one.

Gillingham have scored the first goal in three of their last five, and I expect them to burst out of the traps in this one, so I'm backing the Gillingham HT/FT at odds of 2.56/4.

Bet 3: Gillingham @ 1.664/6

The Big Wednesday Multiple: Dundee to be King at Queen's Park

Back Dinamo Kiev @ 1.834/5; Back Dundee @ 1.574/7; Back Over 2.5 Goals in Jippo v FC Viikingit @ 1.758/11; Back Under 2.5 Goals in Portuguesa SP v Palmeiras @ 1.68/13; The Multiple pays approximately 8.07n/a

It's that time of the week for the big Wednesday multiple as Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. Here are his selections...

Bet 1: Dinamo Kiev (HOME) @ 1.834/5

We kick off our multi with a trip to the Ukraine for the second leg of the Play-off Round in the Champions League between Dinamo Kiev and Borussia Mönchengladbach. Kiev look set to go through after winning the match in Germany by a 1-3 scoreline and I expect them to get the job done pretty comfortably this evening.

Yuri Syomin's men have a rich pedigree in Europe and while they haven't quite been hitting the dizzy heights they achieved when Andriy Shevchenko and Sergei Rebrov were leading the line, they usually fare quite well in whichever European competition they end up in.

Borussia M'Gladbach are Champions League debutants and while they did take the lead in the first leg, the class and experience of the Ukrainians told in the end and given that they've won just two of their last five competitive away games, I can't see anything other than a loss tonight.

Bet 2: Dundee (AWAY) @ 1.574/7

It's the Scottish League Cup now as SPL's Dundee travel to Third Division, Queen's Park. Dundee haven't exactly been tearing it up in the Premier League since their promotion this season, in fact they have just a single point from their opening four games, however they should have more than enough about them to outclass Queen's Park.

Barry Smith's men picked up a decent amount of points on the road in Division One last year and while they did get hammered by fierce rivals Dundee United in their last away game to date, The Dee managed to hold Kilmarnock to a 0-0 draw on the opening day.

Queen's Park are fifth in the Third Division with four points from a possible nine but it's now five matches without a win at home for them, suffering three defeats and conceding 14 goals in the process.

Bet 3: JIPPO v FC Viikingit (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.758/11

We go to Finland in search of goals and both JIPPO and FC Viikingit are usually good for them. JIPPO's fixtures have been averaging exactly three goals each time so far this campaign, with five of their last seven at home going over 2.5, and Viikingit's have been averaging 2.76. with five of their last seven away going over 2.5.

These two sides don't really have much to play for now as RoPS are too far ahead at the top for Viikingit to catch them and the bottom two clubs are too far adrift for JIPPO to get sucked into a relegation battle. It's all about pride and finishing as high up the table as possible now, so with the pressure off, the goals could well flow.

Bet 4: Portuguesa SP v Palmeiras (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.68/13

We conclude our multiple with a late night trip to Brazil as Portuguesa SP take on Palmeiras in Serie A.

Portuguesa are 14th in the table after picking up 22 points from their 19 fixtures to date. We're more interested in their goal stats though and they are currently second bottom in the goals to games average, with their matches averaging just two per 90 minutes. Eight of their last nine at home have gone under 2.5, and they only conceded more than one on one occasion during that period.

Palmeiras are in 17th with 16 points from their 19 fixtures and they currently occupy the last relegation place. The problem for them has been scoring as with just 18 goals netted so far, they have one of the worst offensive records in the division. They're pretty solid at the back though, having the ninth best defensive record in the league.

The Big Wednesday Multiple: The Magnificent 7.11 chance

"We kick off the multiple in the Uefa Champions League as take on in the third qualifying round. The first leg between the pair ended in a 0-3 win for the Swedish side and I can see no reason why they won’t record another victory at home this afternoon."

It's that time of the week for the big Wednesday multiple as Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go under 2.5 goals. After a couple of near misses recently, can he get all four up today? Here are his selections.

Bet 1: Helsingborgs (HOME) @ 1.75/7

We kick off the multiple in the Uefa Champions League as Helsingborgs take on Slask Wroclaw in the third qualifying round. The first leg between the pair ended in a 0-3 win for the Swedish side and I can see no reason why they won't record another victory at home this afternoon.

Åge Hareide is in charge till the end of 2012 after previous manager Conny Karlsson resigned and he has made a cracking start in his attempt to get The Reds through to the group stages for the first time since the year 2000. They completely dominated the first leg in Poland and while they don't need to win today to progress, I can't see them playing negatively and it would be a huge surprise if Slask Wroclaw got anything from the game.

1.75/7 seems like a very good price to me and I expect Helsingborgs to complete their sixth home victory out of seven in all competitions.

Bet 2: NK Maribor (AWAY) @ 1.664/6

We stay in the Champions League for our away victory today as Slovenia's NK Maribor take a 4-1 lead over to Luxembourg for their second leg with the wonderfully named, F91 Dudelange.

The match in Slovenia was a complete procession for Maribor and they were 3-0 up by the 50 minute mark. Like the opening selection in our multiple, Maribor don't need to win to progress, but what fills me with confidence about this bet that is that they faced the exact same scenario in the previous round; winning 4-1 at home before going on to complete a 2-1 away victory.

Their form on the road is top notch; undefeated in 12 in all competitions, winning nine of them, and while they are quite short at 1.664/6 here, I think it's still value.

Bet 3: IA Akranes v Fylkir (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.558/15

This week's likely goal fest comes from Iceland as IA Akranes take on Fylkir in the Urvalsdeild. These pair sit ninth and fifth in the table respectively. However, in the average goals per game table they sit fifth and fourth.

IA's matches are averaging 3.38 goals per 90 minutes and six of their seven home fixtures so far this season have gone over 2.5. They haven't just been scraping over either, five have gone over 3.5, three over 4.5 and the match against FH at the end of June actually went over 8.5 goals.

Fylkir aren't too far behind in the goal stakes as their games are averaging 3.15 goals each time. Four of their six away fixtures have had three goals or more this campaign, and I'm not sure what it is about FH, but similarly to today's opponents, their match with them in June went over 7.5.

Bet 4: Real Garcilaso v Uni Cesar Vallejo (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.625/8

Completely in contrast to the third leg of our multiple, Real Garcilaso against Uni Cesar Vallejo looks like a tight, low-scoring affair on paper. These two sit third and second in the Peruvian Primera Division respectively and the atmosphere should be tense and nervy as they are both in contention for the league title with just two games to go.

Garcilaso have seen six of their last seven go under 2.5 goals as the season reaches its climax, and seven of their last eight at home have followed suit, with Freddy García Loayza's men keeping six clean sheets in the process, which is a fabulous effort for a club who are newly promoted to the division.

Uni Cesar Vallejo are just a single point ahead of Garcilaso and level on points with Sporting Cristal at the top. The key to their success has been their defence and they've conceded an average of less than one goal per game. On the road, their last eight fixtures have all had two goals or less, firing three blanks but keeping four clean sheets.

Betfair Cross-Sport Multiple: Back a Dortmund draw in Bruges

"Brugge will want to impress against a top European team and they are capable of holding a reserve Dortmund team to a mutually acceptable draw."

Andrew Hughes thinks that Saturday's friendly in Bruges will end in stalemate and help land another cross-sport multiple

Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.

Bet 1: Club Brugge to draw with Borussia Dortmund at 3.5
There should be a big crowd for the Brugse Metten, the traditional pre-season friendly match in which Club Brugge take on an invited foreign team. The home side have won the last five of these, but the last time they met someone from the top tier of European football, Porto in 2005, they lost.

Given that this year's visitors are Bundesliga Champions Borussia Dortmund, if this were a competitive fixture, you'd expect Brugge to struggle. But friendlies are much harder to predict. Both sides are at an early stage of their pre-season build-ups, manager Georges Leekens has been candid about the lack of match fitness in the Brugge Squad and Dortmund will not be bringing any of their Euro 2012 players.

Brugge will want to impress against a top European team and they are capable of holding a reserve Dortmund team to a mutually acceptable draw.

Bet 2: New Zealand to beat West Indies at 3.25
The West Indies are improving steadily, particularly at home, where they have followed up a useful series draw with Australian by dominating a weakened New Zealand team. Darren Sammy's men won both the Twenty20 games and took the first two one day internationals fairly comfortably.

But though on paper they have the edge over an inexperienced New Zealand outfit, a familiar fragility was on display last time. Chasing a modest 249 to clinch the five game series, their talisman Chris Gayle failed and the rest of the tea followed, giving the beleaguered tourists a moral boost.

With Brendon McCullum set to return for New Zealand and the tourists notably sharper in the field than the home side, I think they are a good bet to level the series at 3.252/1

Bet 3: Wigan Warriors to beat Leeds Rhinos at 1.35
Saturday's Challenge Cup semi-final sees reigning Super League Champions Leeds Rhinos taking on Wigan Warriors, the side that beat them in last year's final. Leeds were struggling until recently but a string of wins has lifted them up the table and given them some much needed confidence.

But they will have their work cut out to stop Wigan, who have already done the double over them this season, including a 50-8 spanking on their last meeting. The Warriors did slip up recently against Bradford, but that looks as though it was just a hiccup and it should also be noted that Leeds' run of victories has come against some of Super League's poorer sides. Wigan will be strengthened by the return of four players who sat out the thrashing of Wakefield and once again they should prove too strong for the Rhinos.

Total Odds for this multiple: 15.3614/1 Remember, multiple prices are based on our Fixed Odds product, so any winnings are exempt from commission.

Europa League Multiple: Plucky Plzen to make Schalke stumble

Europa League RSS / / 16 February 2012 / Leave a Comment

Jubilant celebrations followed Plzen's recent draw at home to AC Milan

Jubilant celebrations followed Plzen's recent draw at home to AC Milan

"Plzen have lost just two home league or European matches in the last 30 months."

Michael Lintorn has picked out three bets from this evening's less fashionable Europa League encounters that might be worth combining in a treble...

Lay Schalke away to Plzen @ [2.02]
For Plzen, there was no shame whatsoever in finishing third in a Champions League group featuring Barcelona and AC Milan, and they even claimed a point against the latter. The Czech champions have lost just two home league or European matches in the last 30 months, so it's difficult to escape the conclusion that Schalke, who have suffered three defeats in six on the road, are being overrated.

Back both teams to score @ [1.93] in Hannover v Club Brugge
Hannover's last eight Bundesliga fixtures all had under 2.5 goals, but four finished 1-1 to satisfy the above criteria, while their Europa League games have been more open, both sides netting in four of their last five. Club Brugge will crank up the entertainment value, having fired eight and leaked two in their last two domestic outings. Their last four away Europa League ties have featured 20 goals.

Back under 2.5 goals @ [1.73] in Wisla Krakow v Standard
Based on both group-stage performance and current form, there is appeal in backing the visitors at [3.05], however with multiples, caution is advisable and under 2.5 goals looks even likelier in Poland. For starters, Standard haven't conceded in any of their three away games in 2012, while six of their last seven have featured two or fewer. Five of Wisla's last six at home have contained just one goal.

A treble on those recommendations using the Betfair Coupon provides odds of [6.05], so for a £10 stake, you would record a £50.50 profit if they all deliver.

New Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has transformed the team's fortunes by revamping their playing style, and Kevin Hatchard thinks his work could bear fruit in the Italian capital....

Udinese have built this season's success on a miserly defence, but they've been far more generous of late, writes Kevin Hatchard....

Champions League Multiple: Trust in Real Madrid's defence

Champions League RSS / Michael Lintorn / 22 November 2011 / Leave a Comment

Sergio Ramos is part of a defence yet to concede in the Champions League

Sergio Ramos is part of a defence yet to concede in the Champions League

"Dinamo Zagreb are the sole side without a group-stage goal to their name."

Shaky domestically yet solid in Europe, having faith in Real Madrid's backline frustrating Dinamo Zagreb may be the secret to multiple success on Tuesday night...

CSKA Moscow v Lille (17:00, Sky Sports 2)
There are certain scenarios in which Lille can extend their wait for their first victory tonight and still qualify, but the reality of the situation is that they desperately need three points on the board, and that necessity should contribute to a goal-heavy affair. The initial clash in France finished 2-2 and the hosts have the most prolific attack in Group B, whereas the visitors possess the weakest defence.
Recommended Bet: Over 2.5 goals @ [2.2]

Otelul Galati v FC Basel (19:45, Sky Sports Red Button)
Despite being stranded at the bottom of Group C without a point, Otelul Galati's debut Champions League campaign has been no disaster, and things could be different had they not conceded three penalties and an own goal in their first four games. They are heading out though while FC Basel have it all to play for and a nine-match unbeaten run on the road to defend, which includes four wins in five.
Recommended Bet: FC Basel to win @ [1.87]

Real Madrid v Dinamo Zagreb (19:45, Sky Sports Red Button)
Though three points clear at the top of the table, Real Madrid have one of the worst home defensive records in La Liga. However, for no obvious reason, they have avoided such frailty in the Champions League and are the only team yet to concede. Given that in Dinamo Zagreb they are facing the sole side without a goal to their name, the case for opposing both teams to score is a very strong one.
Recommended Bet: Both teams to score? No @ [1.54]

A treble combining those suggested wagers using the Betfair Coupon provides odds of [5.82], so for a £10 stake, you would record a £48.20 profit if they all deliver.

If you trawl through the record books you'll see that predicting which teams will be the last two standing in the Champions League this year, is actually easier than it looks. So bet accordingly, says Matthew Walton....

After a rare Serie A victory on Saturday, Michael Lintorn is backing Inter to march on in Europe with three points away to Trabzonspor......

Ajax head to France in a position of power in Group D, however judging by their recent form, things are unlikely to look so rosy come full-time......
