"Hurricane Lady looks banker material given her lenient-looking opening mark"
A much calmer day of racing today and it's over to Lingfield for the Placepot...
14:30 - It's disconcerting that Bin End is already dropped to selling company, but he's got the form to easily get us through the first leg if he's anywhere near his best, so he has to be included. It's also worth putting the consistent Eagle Nebula in as a back-up.
15:00 - An uncompetitive claimer, several impossible to fancy, and Rudegirl, who's having her first start since leaving Nigel Tinkler, is sure to go close if ready to go for this reappearance. The race-fit Fifth In Line should give her most to think about.
15:30 - Easily the most interesting race on the card, plenty having scope for better now tackling handicaps, but Hurricane Lady looks banker material given her lenient-looking opening mark. Walter Swinburn's runner showed plenty of promise amidst greenness in her three two-year-old starts and there's definitely more to come.
16:00 - Songsmith progressed steadily on turf last year and possesses the form to take this contest if he can prove himself as effective on polytrack. One who doesn't have any question marks regarding the surface is Poyle Punch, who was third in a maiden here earlier in the month and will be suited by today's longer trip, so at least one of them should see us through the maiden.
16:30 - This is as competitive a handicap as you're likely to see at this grade and it's possible to make a case for plenty. The couple with the most persuasive claims, however, are the consistent Cavitie, who has been placed on his last four starts, and Far View, who'll be well suited by the return to this trip.
17:00 - Another trappy contest to finish off with, but it's impossible to get away from the claims of Mr Maximas, who is as solid as they come at this level. Easily the most interesting runner, however, is Lytham, who had little go right when down the field at Kempton last time.

A plethora of meetings to try and land the Placepot at today, but Timeform's Adam Brookes believes Redcar looks the most inviting....
People sometimes forget that Easter Day has far more significance than chocolate eggs and better TV. First and foremost, Easter Sunday is about sport, and not only are we blessed with an extra juicy Old Firm match - would you rather be in Glasgow or Tripoli today - but we also have arguably the best card of the Flat season so far at Sandown. Thank God for Easter....
Timeform's Andrew Mealor heads up to Musselburgh for today's placepot attempt......
