Graham's picks run at Bath and Catterick

"Joshua The First appeals as a value alternative to the well-backed Code Cracker in Catterick's opener."

It takes a superior pundit to find not one, not two, but three promising bets on a day of slim pickings. Fortunately, Graham Cunningham is that pundit.

Now and again you come across a day when it is very hard indeed to generate much enthusiasm for the racing on offer. Today is one such day.

Put simply, this looks a day to tread carefully and strong bets are very tough to find.

That said, three horses do appeal more than most.

Mariners Lodge looked a different horse when bolting up at Ayr last week and will be very hard to beat under a penalty in Bath's 14:15.

The progressive Dancing Primo looks the solid option on the same card at 14:45, while Joshua The First appeals as a value alternative to the well-backed Code Cracker in Catterick's opener at 14:00.

Tuesday Recommended Bets
Catterick 14:00: back Joshua The First
Bath 14:15 Mariners Lodge
Bath 14:45: Back Dancing Primo
