Will you follow the money to Chester?
Wonder Of Wonders has been backed dramatically into [2.38] from an earlier [3.40].
Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Chester, Kelso and Southwell.
We start at Chester's flagship May Meeting where in the listed 14:20 Wonder Of Wonders has been backed dramatically into [2.38] from an earlier [3.40]. Aiden O'Brien has won this trial twice in the last three years and looks to have another prime contender with this well-bred filly. She was well-beaten first time out at Leopardstown but hit traffic at just the wrong time then and soon made amends with a smooth success at Tipperary that oozed class. O'Brien seems to have a high opinion of her, and she holds a number of eye-catching entries for later in the year so expect todays assignment to be a stepping stone to bigger things.
Switching codes now for today's negative and in Kelso's 14:35 2m handicap hurdle Fortuni has drifted noticeably in the betting out to [3.70] from [2.96].
The National Hunt exploits of Rose Dobbin's 5 year-old have failed to match the talent he displayed on the flat and he has not looked a natural at this game. He started odds-on favourite for a weak maiden over course and distance last time but found little under pressure and faded into 3rd, so he looks up against it switched to handicap company and is readily opposed.
Finally, over to Southwell and in the 15:20 1m handicap All Right Now has been well supported in to [4.70] from [7.20]. This four year-old from the Derek Haydn Jones yard seemed to really relish the fibresand when trying this track for the first time last month. Sent off at triple figure odds the gelding rallied in the straight to beat the odds-on favourite into 2nd place. Punters clearly believe there is more to come and although he gives weight away all round it may not be enough to stop him in this modest grade.
