Aston Villa v Norwich (Saturday, 15:00)
The Canaries are one of two Premier League teams (with Blackburn) yet to keep a clean sheet this term
Norwich's defensive shortcomings could cause problems further down the line - although their 15 conceded in 10 games puts them on a par with title hopefuls Chelsea - but for now it isn't an issue because they continue to score. Paul Lambert's side have been shut out just twice, and as Aston Villa have shipped eight in their last three encounters, the likelihood is that both teams will find the net.

Even those optimistic about Manchester City's prospects in pre-season can't have imagined a start quite so stunning. Roberto Mancini's men have averaged 3.6 goals per Premier League game without even factoring in the opposition's contribution and hit a ridiculous 18 in their last four away outings in all competitions, and with QPR firing in their last three at home, another goal-heavy match awaits.

The above Opta snippet reveals that this is a surprising ill-tempered fixture and there is even more chance of conflict in their latest collision given the desperation that both sides will feel to get a result after miserable recent runs. Wolves are winless in eight, with a section of the crowd turning on boss Mick McCarthy as a result, while Wigan are bottom of the pile after seven successive defeats.

Stoke have lost their last three away league games, conceding nine goals and netting just once
Bolton have lost seven in a row at the Reebok Stadium, but the above Opta pearl gives Owen Coyle's men hope of a much-needed win. An FA Cup semi-final thrashing to the Potters started their malaise in many ways, however that success brought about Europa League football for Stoke and they have struggled to fight on two fronts, being beaten in their last three matches to have followed European ties.

Follow The Money says: Back Flowing Cape in the 15:15 at Leicester @ 5.6

Today's Follow The Money come from the meetings at Leicester and Perth.

Starting at Leicester and a negative in the 14.10 maiden contest where Catalinas Diamond has been on the slide from [3.3] out to [3.9]. A decent 2 year old when trained by Brendan Duke last year, she ran creditably on all starts before finishing tailed off at Royal Ascot in July. The fact that she has not been seen out since, is up in trip and has now changed stables, has clearly sent alarm bells ringing amongst backers.

Our next mover is at Perth in their opening maiden hurdle at 14.20 where the The Cockney Mackem has been very solid at the top of the market moving in from an early [2.98] to [2.0]. This 5 year old was a bumper winner on debut before three placed efforts over hurdles. His trainer Nigel Twiston - Davies has a good record at this meeting and although his form is nothing special, The Cockney Mackem does not appear to have much to beat today.

Back to Leicester for our final mover where there has been decent support in the 15.15 race for Flowing Cape, in from [10.5] in to [5.6]. A model of consistency last season, including when running off a higher mark on the all weather, this one was out of his depth in a hot listed contest on reappearance at Leicester. George Baker`s mount was not totally disgraced on that occasion and back down to a more suitable level could go close, if the drop back in trip works in his favour.
