We kick things off at Catterick in the selling hurdle over two miles at 14:20, where King Fingal has been well supported from 3.259/4 in to 2.47/5. Winner of a Musselburgh maiden in 2011, John Quinn's gelding has run well in this grade several times and a recent spin over the all weather at Wolverhampton should have put him just right for today. The selection probably has most to fear from Rano Pano who is a fairly consistent performer, albeit at a moderate level. However the money for King Fingal suggests a big run is expected and at 2.47/5 he looks a good bet.
Moving to Lingfield, Dorothys Dancing has been on the drift this morning and is now available to back at 3.39/4 from a low of 2.75n/a in the five-furlong handicap at 14:30. The selection is in good form and has a win and two second-places to her name in recent weeks. However, she is creeping up the weights and faces several other in-form horses today. Gary Moore's mare has been doing most of her racing over six furlongs recently and the drop back to five furlongs today may not suit, particularly as she is drawn wide in stall six. George Baker is notorious for his hold up rides and, stylish though he is, he may find things happen a bit too quickly for him today at a track where it pays to be prominent.
Our final selection comes from Fontwell where there has been plenty of early money around for Weekend Millionaire in the two-and-a-half mile handicap hurdle at 15:10, with the selection available to back at 4.1n/a having been backed as high as 11.29n/a this morning. The six-year-old gelding's recent form figures of 5-5-6 do not inspire much confidence but he has been struggling on heavy ground all winter and now that he finally has some good ground to race on he can get back to winning ways. The selection's last win came off a mark five pounds higher than he races off today and with several of his in-form rivals going the other way in the handicap, Weekend Millionaire can provide David Pipe and Tom Scudamore with another winner today.
