Will you back Rory's runners?
"Katie Buckett (no relation to Hyacinth I’m informed) handles the progressive Upham Atom in the 15:10 at Wincanton."
Rory Delargy has been called off the subs bench to provide today's tipping for Timeform Radio and he's selected a pair of promising bets.
Today's best bet is Ann Price's Tyup Pompey in the 15:50 at Ludlow. A dual winner last season, he'd been treading water until bursting back to form over C&D last time, when beating Rockiteer by six lengths. He was out of the handicap there, and Lee Stephens was unable to claims his 3lb allowance, so despite being penalised for that success, he can actually race from what is effectively a 7lb lower mark, providing Stephens hasn't piled on the pounds in the last couple of days! None of his opponents are particularly convincing, with Sunday City perhaps the biggest danger, although Peter Bowen's charge looks handicapped to the hilt at present.
Another lady trainer can hit the heights today, as Katie Buckett (no relation to Hyacinth I'm informed) handles the progressive Upham Atom in the 15:10 at Wincanton. The gelding improved to win over an extended 25f here last time out, looks sure to progress again for the longer trip, and meets rivals who are either exposed, unpredictable or ungenuine, and in some cases, could be convicted on all three counts. The Ferbane Man looks the danger, but he has given the impression throughout his career (including in points) that he's more than happy to finish second, and is best played as a forecast option.
