Kempton is the scene of today's best bet

"Asterales may yet have more to offer and can defy a 6lb rise in the weights to land back-to-back victories."

The Cheltenham festival may be over for another year but there are still plenty of good betting opportunities to be had - here are three more SmartPlays from the Timeform free form site.....

Paul Rich has his string in good form at present, and the Newport handler is fancied to notch another winner in the shape of Sizing America in the Hunter Chase at Southwell (15:30). Formerly in the care of Henry de Bromhead, the eleven-year-old ran a fine race on just his second start for the Rich yard, finishing third under a positive ride in the Royal Artillery Gold Cup at Sandown last month. The forcing tactics failed to work as well there next time, as Sizing America did too much in front, shaping better than his final finishing position implies. Today's smaller field should suit Sizing America better and, although Ringa bay has made all to win his last two starts in Points, provided they don't cut each other's throats up front, he can make the most of what looks a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.

We move south to Kempton for our final two SmartPlays of the day, the first of which is the William Musson-trained Asterales (16:20). This lightly-raced five-year-old mare missed the whole of 2011, but has returned in good heart and got off the mark when scoring over C&D last month. The presence of habitual front-runner Gower Rules should ensure that the race is run at a solid tempo which will suit the strong-travelling selection, who may yet have more to offer and can defy a 6lb rise in the weights to land back-to-back victories.

The following 7f handicap (16:50) is undoubtedly the highlight of the card at the Sunbury venue, and Mark Johnston's Crown Counsel looks to have leading claims of making a winning reappearance. A three-time winner during a busy campaign last season, Crown Counsel returns to all-weather off a mark 3 lb lower than his turf rating, meaning he is just a pound higher than for his latest win, which came at Haydock in June. Taken out of his planned return at Lingfield a couple of weeks ago after banging his head in his box, fitness is unlikely to be an issue, and, with stall one ideal for this prominent racer, Crown Counsel can make the 246 mile journey down from Middleham worthwhile.
