These four aren't sure about the obstacle in front of them - how will Franks A Million fare over fences?

"Like most of owner Frank Hanson’s horses, Franks A Million is bred to be a chaser."

Cards at Catterick, Fontwell and Lingfield do not offer much quality, but Rory Delargy, who joins Gina Bryce on Timeform Radio, can hopefully find a couple of winners. Here are his best bets for Wednesday's racing...

Alpha One looks a false favourite in the maiden chase at Catterick (14:50) given his serious jumping issues. Having jumped soundly on his first two chase starts, he took a crashing fall at Musselburgh, and looked to have lost confidence when turned out quickly at Newcastle last time. He's still the pick on ratings here, but looks to have a serious rival in the shape of Franks A Million.

Like most of owner Frank Hanson's horses, he's bred to be a chaser, and Mr Hanson doesn't like to waste too much time running his horses over hurdles. That said, the son of Blueprint looks the equal to the favourite in that sphere after just two starts, and is open to improvement, having only seen a racecourse for the first time in November.

He'll need further than 2m in time, and needs to jump fences more fluently than hurdles, but fences should be his thing and a first time win over the big obstacles is a possibility. He is potentially a cut above today's rivals.

There's plenty of money around for David Pipe's Clever Dick in the 16:20 after he put up an improved effort to win at Taunton in a tongue tie last time. The aid may well be the key for this son of Presenting, but he didn't look the easiest of rides there, and the presence of the frustrating Roxane Bruere in third rather holds the form down.

In contrast, Royal Entourage won at Southwell last time in easier fashion, and while showing a good attitude to overcome trouble. Unlike the Pipe runner, the handicapper hasn't been able to react to that win in a hands and heels event, and he looks the more solid option as he aims for a quick hat-trick.
