Sumner is today's nap at Stratford
"Sumner ran a good race behind the thriving Zhukov earlier in the week, putting in a strong round of jumping.."
Three bets for Sunday's action in Britain which is all National Hunt...
Spock (14.30) was a fortunate winner on his chasing bow at Stratford last time, but it's likely we've yet to see the best of the Paul Nicholls-trained six-year-old and he could follow up at the track this afternoon. Spock looked booked for second behind Life of A Luso (a winner since) six weeks ago until that one's exit at the last, but even in those propitious circumstances the form he showed is comfortably superior to what he'd offered over hurdles. If jumping better, and with conditions in his favour, Spock seems sure to take close order.
Staying at Stratford and Sumner (16.30) can get back to winning ways in a weak handicap chase. Successful at Hereford last month from Rince Donn, who looks his biggest danger today, Sumner ran a good race behind the thriving Zhukov at Uttoxeter earlier in the week, putting in a strong round of jumping. Off the same mark on his first visit to Stratford, Sumner looks to hold solid claims.
His price reflects the fact, but it will be disappointing if Cygnet (15.50) can't get the job done dropped into a selling hurdle at Southwell. He's back at the scene of his sole success over hurdles, in a two-mile maiden in May, and a below-par performance at Uttoxeter last time is probably best overlooked as he'd been holding his form well prior to that. Even with the step up to two and a half miles representing something of an unknown, this looks Cygnet's easiest assignment to date.
Recommendations
Back Spock @ [3.4] Stratford 14.30
Back Cygnet @ [1.9] Southwell 15.50
Back Sumner @ [3.2] Stratford 16.30

Decisions, decisions. There are six meetings in the UK today and over 500 runners, all of which are covered by the Timeform free form site, but for this column we have to narrow it down to just three, so here goes......
Lots and lots of racing today, most of it good quality too, and the Timeform Free Form team have been through the lot to find three bets......
It's the start of the July Festival at Newmarket and hopefully we can get the meeting off to a flyer with two of today's Timeform 1-2-3 selections racing there......
