Today's final selection runs at Salisbury (above)
"In the absence of strong form from the experienced runners, we’re happy to do what it says on the tin and follow the money. Back Byronic Hero."
Today's Follow The Money comes from the meetings at Carlisle, Worcester and Salisbury...
Kicking things off is a well-backed two-year-old in Carlisle's opening race, the Maiden Auction Stakes at 14:00. Byronic Hero is making his racecourse debut, but the fact that punters have steadily backed him in from an opening [18.0] to a current [8.6] suggests that the son of Byron has been impressing at home. The market usually speaks in these races, and with the absence of any strong form from the experienced runners, we're happy to do what it says on the tin and follow the money.
Our lay of the day comes at Worcester in the form of probable second favourite Erdeli at 14:20. Tim Vaughan's charge is sporting a visor for the first time today and this hasn't gone down too well with punters who have made his price drift from [3.9] to [4.4]. He faded dramatically last time out and with some lightly-raced contenders to face today is worth opposing.
We like the look of the solidly supported Ardlui in a class 3 contest at Salisbury. This Henry Candy trained son of Galileo walloped previous winner Rio's Rosanna by seven lengths last time out at Thirsk. An extremely promising and progressive individual, his price has steadily contracted from an opening [5.7] to a current [3.3]. It will be a surprise if he doesn't put in a strong effort with the money down today.
