Will you follow the money to Bath and Newcastle
"That’s Dangerous has seen little support in the betting drifting from [2.83] out to [4.8]."
Today's Follow The Money come from the meetings at Bath and Newcastle...
We start at Newcastle where, in the 14:10, Almond Branches has seen some support coming in from [11.0] into [6.8]. George Moore's runner didn't seem to be helped by a wide draw when third on debut in a race which the form has proved ok with a couple of subsequent winners. He then showed improvement at his next start when second, so should he continue on an upward curve there's no reason why he shouldn't be in the finish today at decent odds.
Moving to Bath where, in the 14:30, That's Dangerous has seen little support in the betting drifting from [2.83] out to [4.8]. Roger Charlton's runner was well backed on debut in a four runner race at Kempton, but failed to justify that support. He was very green and could be open to improvement, but with a strong favourite and a couple of interesting newcomers to contend with today, it looks like the punters are happy to let him run without their hard earned cash on him today.
We stay at Bath for the 17:10, where Areef has been backed from [4.09] in to [2.60]. Michael Bell's expensive filly certainly hasn't set the world on fire when running on the all weather, but there has been signs of ability. She makes her turf and handicap debut today and that could be what brings about some improvement. With today's race extremely weak, it will be Areef's best chance to recoup some the purchase money for her connections.
