After a 38 hour poker playing stint Kevin Thurston won top spot in the GSPO in Spain. The Grand Series of Poker live event took place in Seville. In the final hand of the match Thurston was dealt two aces as a starting hand, the best possible starting hand in No Limit Texas Holdem poker, the kind of poker being played in the tournament. The poker room watched as the 27 year old wrapped up the poker game in style, winning more than £50,000 as his first place prize, the final player left out of 300.
