In 2010 the poker lobby rang up a $2 million bill trying to get online poker legalized in the United States. Mostly headed by the PPA, the poker lobby has become a strong force in America. Once labled a “grass roots” oganization, the Poker Player's Alliance has grown much, funded by poker pros and lead by Al D'Amato, a former United States Senator. The bill breaks down to $1.8 million spent on lobbying activities, getting the word out to the benefit of online poker
