Chad Elie has plead not guilty to fraud conspiracy charges surrounding the poker imbroglio in the United States. Elie is standing accused of attempting to trick banks into processing online poker transactions. The processing of such transactions to a poker room or poker site is expressly forbidden by the UIGEA, or Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, a law passed in 2006. Eleven people were arrested and three major poker companies attacked last Friday by the US Department of Justice.
