Online poker room PokerStars has lost one of their star players. Greg Raymer was the winner of the 2004 World Series of Poker. Some have begun to speculate that the WSOP champ’s departure from the online poker room signifies that WSOP champs don’t matter as much to poker as they used to. Raymer is a long time poker pro who has been very vocal as part of the Poker Players Alliance, a group that works towards the legalization of poker in the United States. No official word from the Raymer camp has come out to explain why he left the poker room.
