"Copper Sound's trainer Michael Scudamore has only ever sent two runners to the track of which one was victorious and it looks like the trip of 255 miles from his Herefordshire base may well prove a fruitful one."

Today's Follow The Money market movers come from the meetings at Folkestone, Newcastle and Southwell.

We start at Newcastle where, in the 2 mile handicap chase at 14.10, there has been sustained support this morning for Copper Sound who is currently trading at [4.5] from a high of [6.4]. The fact that copper Sound has shortened is more due to the weakness of this event than the gelding's outstanding form credentials, given that he hasn't actually visited the winners' enclosure since May 2009. Six of the other eight runners have yet to win too, and of the two that have been successful, Janal has to overcome a mark 6lbs higher than when successful (last time out) while Oleolat was pulled up last time and prior to that beaten 120 lengths. Michael Scudamore has only ever sent two runners to the track of which one was victorious and it looks like the trip of 255 miles from his Herefordshire base may well prove a fruitful one.

To the Fibresand surface of Southwell now and in the seller at 14.50 El Dececy has cemented his place at the front of the market moving from [3.0] in to [2.04]. Rated 7lbs higher than his nearest rival, Army Of Stars, John Balding's charge drops in class from a handicap in which El Dececy was beaten just over a length by Elusive Warrior but with the weights now favouring our selection, we can expect that form to be turned round. With no worries regarding the trip or going and Graham Gibbons taking over from an inexperienced claimer, it would be a surprise if this does not prove to be a successful punt for El Dececy's supporters.

Our final recommendation is the day's negative in the shape of Song Of Songs in the 17.00 at Folkestone who has drifted from [2.82] out to [3.75]. In his former life as a 144 rated chaser, Song Of Songs would have made mincemeat of most of these but the big question, on his Hunter Chase debut and first run for Jonjo O'Neill, has to be whether he will get this trip of over 3 miles in testing going given that he has only ever won over 2 miles. This and the fact that, at times, the gelding's jumping can be less than convincing has meant that backers do not believe that Song Of Song's class will be enough to land the spoils today.

Recommended Bets:
Back Copper Sound @ [4.5 ] Newcastle 14.10
Back El Dececy @ [2.04] Southwell 14.50
Lay Song Of Songs @ [3.75] Folkestone 17.00
